myBlackBook

Where can I find my confirmed / past bookings on BlackBook?

You can find your confirmed (upcoming) and past booking details within ‘myBlackBook’. 

For Desktop 

  1. Please ensure you are logged into your BlackBook account
  2. Click on the ‘myBlackBook’ link on the top menu
  3. Here your hotel booking is located within a trip
  4. Locate the trip that you have either created or have added your booking to
  5. Once you have located the trip where your booking contained, you can click on the “hotel” button from the list of buttons to view your booking details. 

On App

  1. Please ensure you are logged into your BlackBook account
  2. Open the app menu by tapping on the icon on the top left of the app homepage
  3. Tap on the ‘myBlackBook’ button in the menu
  4. Here your hotel booking is located within a trip
  5. Locate the trip that you have either created or have added your booking to
  6. Once you have located the trip where your booking contained, you can click on the “hotel” button from the list of buttons to view your booking details. 


What is myBlackBook?

myBlackBook is where your trips, travel itinerary and bookings on BlackBook are stored. 

With myBlackBook, you can plan a trip using information on different cities and points of interests. You can gather all of that information into an itinerary which you can use for your travels. Best part is you don’t need to have made a booking in order to use our Itinerary feature in trips.

You will need to have an account or logged into BlackBook to be able to access myBlackBook. Signing up for an account is free.

How does the currency calculator work?

The currency calculator is a tool found within any trip, which can be accessed within ‘myBlackBook’.

Note that this is an app only feature.

Features:

  • Pick and convert between 2 desired currencies (source and target currencies)
  • Calculate price of local currencies to your desired currency for comparison while traveling [your calculations will affect the source currency and show the converted amount in the target currency]
  • Simple calculator features that is familiar and easy to use

What are attractions?

Attractions is a feature found within myBlackBook, giving you a list of places of interest organized by cities.

These will function as a starting point for you to begin planning your trip. 

Once you have created a trip, from the trip homepage

  1. Tap on the ‘attractions’ button found within the column menu of buttons to the right of the screen
  2. You can browse through the different places of interest available by swipe the pictures left or right
  3. If you want to add a particular place of interest to your itinerary, tap on the ‘add to itinerary’ button on the top right of the screen.
  4. You will now be asked to add the place to a day within the dates of your trip
  5. Select a date within you trip and it will be added to your itinerary

Alternatively, you may also search for attractions based on distance from either the city center, or if you already have a hotel booked on BlackBook for that same trip, the search will be performed based on distance from your hotel.

To search for a place of interest:

  1. Tap on the ‘attractions’ button found within the column menu of buttons to the right of the screen
  2. Tap on the ‘search’ button on the top right hand corner of the screen.
  3. You can now search for places of interest based on set distances from either the current city center of your trip OR from your hotel
How do I check the room type I had booked?

You can check the details of your booking by logging in with your account and checking the details within ‘myBlackBook”.

Your confirmed hotel bookings are contained in ‘Trips’ in the ‘myBlackBook’ section. If you have no existing trip, you will be asked to create a trip for your confirmed hotel booking.

On Desktop

  1. Login to your account at the homepage by clicking on the ‘Login” link
  2. Click on the ‘myBlackBook’ link on the top menu
  3. Within myBlackBook you will find various trips, select the trip to the city and dates that are associated to your booking.
  4. Here you can see the details of the trip, including bookings you’ve made
  5. Click on the button named ‘hotel’ within the trip, you will be presented with the details of your hotel booking
  6. Here you can see the details of your booking, including the room type that you have booked.

On App

  1. Open the app menu by tapping on the icon on the top left of the app homepage
  2. Tap on the ‘Login’ button in the menu and login to your account 
  3. Once again open the app menu by tapping on the icon on the top left of the app homepage
  4. Tap on the ‘myBlackBook’ button in the menu
  5. Within myBlackBook you will find various trips, select the trip to the city and dates that are associated with your booking.
  6. Here you can see the details of the trip, including bookings you’ve made
  7. Tap on the button named ‘hotel’ on the column of buttons within the trip, you will be presented with the details of your hotel booking
  8. Here you can see the details of your booking, including the room type that you have booked.



I would like to make some edits to my booking, how can I do so?

Currently we only allow for cancellation of bookings by contacting our team. Other changes to your booking such as change of dates, room type would require you to cancel your current booking and make a new booking.

Please do remember to check the property’s cancellation policy before cancellation. Some hotels may offer you a refund before a certain cut-off date / time. Making a cancellation after such a date / time will result in no refund being offered. 

Rooms with a no cancellation policy offer no refunds for cancellations made once the booking is confirmed.



How can I create meetings?

Meetings not only helps you plan your trip, but also ensures that all the necessary meeting notes / documents are kept in one place. Creating meetings can be a simple and easy process.

For Mobile

  1. Login to your account
  2. Select “myBlackBook”
  3. Select an existing trip or “Create Trip”
  4. Select “Meetings” on the menu on the top right
  5. Input the preferred meeting location and choose from the drop down menu
  6. Select “Add to Itinerary”
  7. Pick the applicable date(s) and time (if applicable)
  8. Select “Save”
  9. (Optional) Add description or attachments if so preferred
  10. Upon completion, select the “Back” button on the top left twice
  11. New added Meetings will be shown in the list

How can I edit meetings?

Editing meetings can be a simple and easy process.

For Mobile

  1. Login to your account
  2. Select “myBlackBook”
  3. Select an existing trip
  4. Select “Meetings” on the menu on the top right
  5. Select the meeting which you would like to edit
  6. Select the date to change the date / time
  7. (Optional) Edit the description of add or remove attachments
  8. Upon completion, select the “Back” button on the top once

How to add / edit itinerary timings?

There will be times when you may wish to add / edit itinerary timings that you have already planned in your trip. Adding / editing itinerary timings can be a simple and easy process.

For Mobile

  1. Login to your account
  2. Select “myBlackBook”
  3. Select the trip you would like to edit
  4. Select “Itinerary” from menu on the bottom right
  5. Choose the date which has an itinerary you wish to edit
  6. Open the extra menu by selecting the 3 dots associated with the relevant itinerary
  7. Select “Move To Another Day/Time” in the pop-up menu
  8. Adjust the date or the time as required
  9. Select “Save” when done
