One of its many attractive points, this hotel is located off one of the most popular streets of Istanbul, close to the tram stop and all major attractions but being off the main street, is very quiet and calm. The hotel is within walking distance of St. Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Underground Cistern and Covered Bazaar. Superb location. This hotel is brand new, and all the rooms are spacious, comfortable and soundproof. The bathrooms are in perfect condition, combining wood and marble, with hairdryer and baths. All rooms have central air conditioning, minibar, 55cm cable television, electronic combination lock safety deposit boxes and direct dial telephone connection. In general the room gives off a pleasant ambiance and the guest truly feels at home. The Terrace Restaurant, with view on the Bosphorus, the Topkapi Palace, Marmara Sea the Blue Mosque with its magnificent minarets, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers its selected guests several samples of the traditional Turkish and international kitchen. The exterior is an old style building, not really impressive but the doors and entrance to the hotel will give you a better idea of the quality of this property. The lobby is medium-sized, a combination of a modern property with traditional Ottoman style. Its fantastic doors, wooden table and silk curtains give you the idea of the quality with which the hotel has been decorated. Mr Robert Kime himself advised on the decor. In our opinion, one of the top 4 star hotels in the Old Town. The location, quality and friendly staff of this brand new hotel make it a really good destination, worth paying a little more for because the stay will be wonderful. Highly recommended. (02/08 JM)
