Casa Marcello, Rasnovka 783, Prague, Czechia
The rooms are well appointed and each one has its own character. They all have the modern conveniences expected of a moderate 4-star hotel and the decor is quite understated. Some rooms are situated around a yard at the rear of the building and entrance is gained by outdoor stairwells. The restaurant is on the ground floor and is very traditional, relying heavily on dark wood and chequered tablecloths. There is little or no natural light which further adds to the romantic 'olde worlde' feel of the area. There is also a pleasant garden restaurant occupying the courtyard where you can soak up the midday sun. The hotel has a traditional appearance, the building dating back more than 200 years. It is a low-rise building with a discreet entrance. The lobby is very cosy with limited seating. The decor is again quite historical and rustic with the stone walls and low ceilings. A splendid, small hotel with a charming and historical character. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. (05.09 HO)
