Heianbo Ryokan is just 3 min. walk from JR Kyoto Station. Heianbo is convenient for sightseeing and shopping.Ryokan is the name for the traditional Japanese inn, where the whole atmosphere, the building itself, the rooms and the furniture all keep the Japanese cultural traditions. For example you need to leave your shoes at the entrance and you get slippers to wear inside the Ryokan. This Ryokan was a simpler and quite reasonably priced one (Category D), but with really great atmosphere, perfect location and really kind staff. There were about 20 rooms. The majority of the guests were Japanese, but we met some European and American guests as wellThe Heianbo Ryokan is a Tourist hotel. Located in City Centre area. Shopping is within walking distance and the nightlife/restaurants are located in the hotel.
